This is a very narrow doorstop (1 1/2 inches) so it was necessary to put two outward protrusions on each of the back wheels for stability.
This doorstop was supplied with reins (Not Shown on Doorstop). After a hundred years of age, the reins are probablely long gone.
The reins went from the small hole in the drivers hand and to the horses
