Union Manufacturing Co.was a iron castings foundry in Boyertown, Pa. Purchased by a group of businessmen in 1894, they started the metal production facility. John Z. Harner, took on the title of superintendent in 1910. By 1921, he bought the company for himself and served as its president. During his tenure the company made motor blocks, piston cylinders, light poles, barbell weights, ornamental knickknacks, mechanical banks, and trivets.
